As we close the chapter on 2025, I want to pause and say a heartfelt thank you to the extraordinary community that makes EM Cases what it is.

This past year, EM Cases reached more learners than ever—through millions of podcast listens, sustained growth across the website, and a truly global audience engaging with our content from around the world. But numbers alone don’t capture what mattered most in 2025: the depth of engagement, the thoughtful feedback, and the countless messages from clinicians who told us that something they learned on EM Cases directly changed how they practiced at the bedside.

None of this would be possible without you—the emergency clinicians who listen on commutes, read between shifts, share episodes with colleagues, challenge us to do better, and keep EM Cases grounded in real-world practice. Thank you for trusting us with your learning.

I’m especially grateful to those who chose to support EM Cases financially—through donations and by attending the EM Cases Summit. That support allows us to continue offering high-quality podcasts, blogs, quizzes, videos, newsletters, and the entire EM Cases learning ecosystem freely as part of the FOAMed community, while fairly supporting the people who create it.

Behind the scenes, EM Cases is very much a team effort. My deepest thanks to the EM Cases production team, our generous and brilliant guest experts, the clinicians who power EM Quick Hits, our outstanding blog and quiz authors, our advisory board, our partners at the Schwartz-Reisman Emergency Medicine Institute (SREMI), the University of Toronto Division of Emergency Medicine, and the website development team at Wisevu. And, as always, thank you to my family for their constant patience and support.

I hope you had time to rest and reconnect over the holidays, and that 2026 brings you health, meaning, and fulfillment—both in Emergency Medicine and beyond.

What follows is the Best of EM Cases 2025: a curated selection of the highest-impact, highest-quality Emergency Medicine education from the past year—chosen based on a blend of listens, views, learner feedback, and a few personal favorites.

As always, thank you for learning with us.
